However, at some point we have all been told the opposite. I became a dietitian nutritionist to change the way we think about food, help people identify healthy wellness goals, and achieve a balanced lifestyle. I am passionate about helping people find the joy in eating again and make peace with food and their body.
I began my journey by earning a Master’s degree in dietetics from Eastern Michigan University. During my education I had experience working in a hospital, long-term care facility, school system, WIC, residential treatment facility, and private practice. Through this diverse experience, I discovered that my passion is one on one nutrition counseling with a specialty in eating disorder treatment. I have provided nutrition services in a residential treatment facility, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient facility, and outpatient private practice.
When I’m not helping individuals with nutrition I share my love for movement as a group fitness instructor. I love traveling with my husband, spending time with family and friends, and playing with my dog, Jops! I also enjoy trying new restaurants, going to the movies, and hiking!
